Valencia has everything you'd expect from a bustling modern city with excellent schools, hospitals, sports and recreational facilities.
If you have children and would prefer them to follow a UK style syllabus, there are a number of fee-paying bi-lingual academies dotted around the city.
We'll be happy to supply you with more details on request. In order to enter your child into the Spanish educational system you will need to become resident.
Academic results are generally very good, and on the whole the standard of discipline is better than in the UK. It should be noted that in State schools,
lessons are conducted entirely in Spanish and so additional private languange coaching is often a good idea, particularly for older children. Don't expect special treatment or for lessons to be available in English. Most state schools in Valencia will also teach Valenciano as well.
Spain has a reciprocal health care arrangement with other EU countries, and so UK citizens can obtain free medical treatment in Spanish state
hospitals and clinics. If you're just visiting (non-resident) be sure though to take an E-111 form with you (completed and stamped), available from most Post Offices.
