| Although the majority of properties on our database are in-land, most are still within 25-30 minutes of the
coast. 'La Malvarosa' is generally regarded as the local beach and is just 15 minutes by road from the city (also accessible by tram and bus).
Its huge expanse of clean white sand means it never gets too crowded. An attractive palm-lined promenade runs for 5km, along which you have a
good selection of bars and restaurants to suit all pockets. During the summer months, lifeguards patrol the shoreline and water sports are
available for hire.
To the south of Valencia (again only 15minutes from the centre) is'El Saler'. Pine trees and banks of protective dunes combine to create a
totally natural beach environment. Nearby, is 'La Albufuera', a beautiful freshwater lake. This whole area is now a protected green zone and
provides sanctuary for many species of aquatic bird.
If you're prepared to travel a little further, you have Gandia, Oliva and Denia, or to the north, Oropesa and Peniscola. All these
resorts have outstanding beaches and can be easily reached via the A7 motorway.
