If however you like your curry then you may be a little disappointed! Spaniards in general haven't really taken
indian food to their heart in the same way as the British. There are a couple of examples near the centre and a very good one in L'Eliana, but on
the whole you're likely to find more choice in the tourist resorts further south on the Costa Blanca. Vegetarian
food is available (I know of at least three dedicated restaurants) though again it's not as popular as in the UK.
Those with children will probably be relieved to know all the usual fast food outlets (McDonalds, Burger King, KFC etc) can be found in the centre as well as in many of the out of town shopping centres/malls.
The choice of restaurants open on a Sunday evening is (in common with many cities) unfortunately quite limited.
