One of the busiest streets is Calle Caballeros. Of particular note there are Johnny Maracas featuring an aquarium built into the bar and Fox Congo with its unusual hammered metal interior.
Nearby you'll the find ever popular Café Infanta which has the bonus of an extensive terrace area in the summer. This is also one of the few bars in the area that's open (and busy) on a Sunday night. Opposite is the chic Café Bolseria which attracts a smart 'thirty something' crowd and is spread over two floors.
For a more 'chilled out' evening, go to Café San Jaume which has been converted from an old Pharmacy, or Café Negrito on the Plaza del Negrito.
West of the town centre is Calle Juan Llorens which also caters for a mixed crowd. Café Carioca and Havana Club (admission charge) are just a couple of the many watering holes on offer.
