Note that the smaller local shops will normally close for Siesta between 2pm and 5pm and some will also shut early on Saturday (often at lunchtime). Unlike in England, the vast majority of retailers will be closed all day on Sunday.

If you really miss those special English treats then you may be very interested in 'Spainsburys'. A small delivery charge applies if the order is under €100, but you can also collect for free from designated pick up points around the city.
